此枚钱币为清代光绪年间（1875—1908年）浙江省铸造的流通货币，属晚清机制铜元典型代表。正面中心直读“光绪元宝”，上缘镌“浙江省造”，下缘标明面值“当十”，左右分列满文“宝浙”（意为浙江省局铸造）；背面中央为蟠龙图案，龙纹威严灵动，外圈环英文“CHEH-KIANG PROVINCE”（浙江省）及“10 CASH”（十文），兼具中西文化元素。 该铜元采用红铜机制，工艺精整，版式多样，常见“方龙”“坐龙”“水龙”等版别差异。作为清末货币制度过渡的实物见证，既反映近代工业技术对铸币的影响，又体现地方财政特色，是钱币收藏与研究的重要品类。（This coin was minted in circulation in Zhejiang Province during the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty (1875-1908), and is a typical representative of the late Qing Dynasty mechanism copper yuan.
