2006年，吴冠中创作《故宫》，以抽象笔触重构皇家宫殿。朱红大色块铺陈宫墙，金黄线条勾勒琉璃瓦顶，鲜明色彩碰撞出建筑的厚重感。画面中流动的彩色人群打破庄严，赋予故宫鲜活生机。构图上突破写实桎梏，用点线面组合与题字“故国三千里，深宫二十年”，将历史沧桑与现代艺术语言交融，展现独特的视觉张力与人文哲思。In 2006, Wu Guanzhong created "The Forbidden City", which reconstructs the royal palace with abstract brushstrokes. The vermilion color blocks spread out the palace wall, and the golden lines outline the glazed tile roof, and the bright colors collide with the heavy sense of the building. The flowing colorful crowd in the picture breaks the solemnity and gives the Forbidden City fresh life. In terms of composition, it breaks through the shackles of realism, and uses the combination of dots, lines and surfaces and the inscription "Three Thousand Miles of the Ancient Country, Twenty Years of the Deep Palace", blending the vicissitudes of history with the language of modern art, showing unique visual tension and humanistic philosophy
