The outer wall is adorned with a scene of a rooster and a hen carrying their chicks to forage, featuring vivid colors and a glaze surface as smooth and lustrous as jade, making it a masterpiece. The painted material was ground from the seven-color membrane of pearl oysters. The patterns within the outlines are vivid and lifelike, capturing the essence with remarkable accuracy, leaving viewers refreshed and delighted. Chicken cups have been renowned for centuries, admired from the imperial court to the common people, and are truly the coveted treasure of China's porcelain collectors. During the Chenghua period, imperial porcelain was meticulously crafted, with high quality but limited production. Today, authentic Chenghua pieces are even more scarce.
