Eight steeds, in various vivid postures—some neighing with heads held high, some ready to gallop with bodies bent—seem to race amid cloud waves held up by the openwork scroll cloud-patterned base. The jade’s texture merges with carved muscle lines. craftsman endowed horses with the auspicious meaning of "Eight Steeds" through jade carving, and every cut in jade holds reverence for noble steeds and craft wisdom, like a treasure tempered by time, incredibly precious.
