It was crafted with the pouring glaze technique, and its glaze bears the iconic Jiaohuang (Palace Yellow) hue of the Hongzhi reign — a pale, delicate and tender yellow, even and luminous in texture, with a soft and translucent luster like chicken fat glaze.
