Blue and White Flask with Reserved White Carved Sea Water Dragon Pattern, Yongle Reign, Great Ming Dynasty — Yongle blue and white porcelain represents the pinnacle of Ming dynasty porcelain art, inheriting the tradition of Yuan blue and white and reaching the acme of perfection. The flask adopts the localized modification of the Persian moon-holding vessel shape; as a major display artifact, the sea water dragon-patterned flask embodies the cultural essence of "vigorous grandeur and ritual solemnity" of Yongle porcelain art. The vessel body is firm and dense; the blue and white pigment is "Su Ni Bo Qing" (Sumali Qing), presenting a typical indigo hue with "iron rust spots", applied via the "shading water-splashing technique". The vessel body is decorated with sea water dragon patterns using the reserved white carving technique: the dragon assumes a majestic posture, its manes and whiskers incised with the sharpness of "iron wire coiling strokes", scales protruding, and the reserved white areas revealing the smoothness of "sweet white glaze"; the sea water patterns are crafted with the "layered water-splashing texture technique", with overlapping waves showing the meticulousness of "brocade ground wave patterns", connecting with the dragon patterns to form the ritual of "dragon's prestige ruling the sea and universe". The neck is decorated with interlocking lotus patterns, and the key fret patterns on the mouth rim follow the "three-section" ritual norm; the base bears the blue and white seal script mark "Made in the Yongle Reign", conforming to the standard of Ming dynasty porcelain marks. It is a unique model integrating the three perfections of Yongle blue and white — "vessel shape, pigment craftsmanship, and decoration", hailed as the "Crown of Early Ming Porcelain" in the collection circle.
