This copper bodied enamel piece, "Fortune and Longevity Golden Sea," is an enamel artwork created by Chinese master of arts and crafts Ding Minghong. It is based on the design of the "Gate Sea" (copper jar, which combines water storage, fire prevention, and royal ritual symbolism) in the Forbidden City. It is an artistic masterpiece presented to the Palace Museum as a tribute. The overall process adopts multiple traditional cloisonn é techniques such as copper core cloisonn é wire cutting, point blue, firing blue, polishing, and gilding, integrating the core craftsmanship of traditional cloisonn é (copper core cloisonn é wire enamel) with gilding, inlay, and other techniques. The color is mainly classic sapphire blue, accompanied by gilding patterns, showcasing the luxurious texture of palace objects. Reflecting the inheritance and innovation of palace craftsmanship. The dragon pattern on the body of the vessel, the intertwining of precious flowers, and the combination of the character "longevity" symbolize auspiciousness, longevity, and prosperity of the family. The auspicious cloud head pattern on the mouth symbolizes good luck and smoothness, while the gilded shop head rings (in the shape of auspicious beasts) on both sides symbolize warding off evil spirits. The sea water and river cliff pattern at the bottom of the tank represents the beautiful wish of "Fuhai Shoushan". The base is engraved with the four characters "Fu Shou Jin Hai", which echoes the meaning of the decorative patterns on the object and strengthens the cultural connotation of Fu Shou and praying for wealth.
