此炉口沿外敞，束颈深腹，三直足修长挺拔；口沿立对称戟耳，耳形方正、中开方孔，线条刚劲利落，整器型制规整，比例谐调。炉以精铜为胎，胎体厚重精纯，栗褐皮色温润，包浆古雅。颈部鎏金饰弦纹、乳钉纹与兽面纹，鎏金沉稳，錾刻精细；炉腹洒金，金斑错落如星，与深褐铜胎相映，流光溢彩。This censer has an everted rim, a constricted neck and a deep belly, supported by three tall, slender straight legs. Symmetrical halberd-shaped ears stand on the rim—square in form with a square hole in the middle, their lines are bold and crisp. The whole vessel features a neat shape and harmonious proportions. Cast from fine copper, it has a thick, pure body with a deep chestnut-brown patina that is smooth and antique in finish. The neck is gilded with a combination of string patterns, nipple nail patterns and animal mask patterns; the gilding is mellow in color and the carvings are delicate and neat. The belly is sprinkled with gold, with gold flecks scattered unevenly like stars, contrasting sharply with the dark brown copper body and shimmering brilliantly.
