此对清工田黄石卧马，石质凝腻莹润，一栗壳一蜜蜡，双色相映，尤为珍罕。双马跪卧安详，依石施艺，刀法如笔，肌骨流畅。马首微垂，鬃毛鞍辔刻画入微。器虽盈掌，集珍材、巧工、吉意于一体：马寓自强，卧姿兆安泰，成双寓骈臻，诚文房清逸之品。This pair of Qing-dynasty Tianhuang stone recumbent horses is carved from exceptionally fine material—smooth, lustrous, and dense—with one horse in rich chestnut brown and the other in translucent amber yellow, their contrasting hues enhancing their rarity. Both horses kneel peacefully, embodying serenity. The artisan masterfully followed the natural form of the stone, wielding the chisel like a brush to render supple musculature and fluid lines. Their heads bow gently, with meticulously detailed manes and tack. Though small enough to fit in the palm, these pieces unite precious material, exquisite craftsmanship, and auspicious symbolism: the horse represents perseverance; the recumbent posture signifies peaceful repose; and the pair together embodies harmonious blessings.
