光绪元宝红铜币是晚清1900年起各省为应对钱荒、补充银元辅币而铸造的机制铜元，以含铜量约95%的红铜为原料，由广东首发后多地分厂续铸。其正面珠圈内镌“光绪元宝”及满文局名，外环标注铸地与币值，当十为最主流形制；背面饰有蟠龙纹并搭配英文标识，是中西合璧的钱币代表。 The Guangxu Yuanbao red copper coin was a machine-struck copper coin minted by provinces from the late Qing Dynasty in1900 to address the shortage of coins and supplement the silver dollar subsidiary currency. It was made of red copper with a copper content of about 95%, initiated Guangdong and then continued by many other branch mints. The front of the coin features "Guangxu Yuanbao" within a pearl circle and the Manchu of the mint, with the casting location and denomination marked on the outer ring, with the "ten" denomination being the most common. The back is adorned with a pattern and paired with English inscriptions, representing a coin that blends Chinese and Western elements.
